Snow, Snow and more Snow!

The first welcome event for new residents, was hit by 4 inches of snow falling in an hour on the morning of the event.  This did not deter the Community Development Officer Jane Haskins and her trusty band of volunteers from making sure the event still went ahead for everyone who wanted to find out more about the trust and the Green Travel Plan for Graylingwell park.

Unity Arts came along, to run Christmas Craft Workshops

CDC Wildlife Officer, Sarah Hughes, discussed enviornmental issues, including wildlife and fauna at Graylingwell Park.

Immanuel Church were on hand to give information about their groups, including:

  • Conkers, Baby and Toddler group
  • The Rock Choir

Residents were treated to Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.

Unfortunately Martin Brownsey (Green Travel Consultant) was snowed in at home in Kent, but is planning to visit residents starting in January with Jane Haskins to discuss the Green Travel Plan, and how to qualify for a £50 Cycle voucher*
