A group of keen residents got together with Jane Haskins from the CDT to organise a party to bring the local community together and celebrate the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th May. The CDT, Linden Homes and Affinity Sutton all contributed towards the cost of this free event.
The committee spent the last 3 months putting together an event that residents would remember for years to come. A live band called "Green Feat" featured and played well over their time, as every one was enjoying the event so much!.
Children and adults alike enjoyed egg and spoon races, musical statues and the fancy dress parade was a highlight on the day. Flags and bunting (made by local children at a craft workshop) adorded the area around the Royal Wedding tea tables, which offered cakes provided by Alison and Sue. Sharing the special day was one local resident. Sue, who was celebrating her birthday, was presented with a a special birthday cake by Susanna and her children.
William and Kate even made an appearance!!!!
Residents would like to thank: Debbie King, Alison Rees, Liz Ralph, Barbara Hayman and Susanna Peche for organising the street party
and Linden Homes, Chichester CDT and Affinity Sutton for supporting the event
