WSCC have a variety of cycling resources on their website, including an on-line cycle map for Chichester.
Centurion Way
An 8km (5-mile) route for cyclists and pedestrians to travel between Chichester, Lavant, Binderton and West Dean. It goes along a disused railway track that used to run between Chichester and Midhurst from 1881 to 1991. Centurion Way links to other routes at either end. At West Dean it leads into a network of quiet roads and bridleways which go towards the South Downs. At Chichester the path joins the South Coast Cycle Route which is Route 2 of the National Cycle Network.
Cycle Training Courses
Cycle training courses will be made available to residents of Graylingwell Park – check with the Travel Plan Co-ordinator or Community Website for forthcoming courses. These will cover child training from age 6+ working towards ‘Bikeability Badges’, adult refresher courses and also advanced courses provided by qualified external trainers.

Long term we would wish Graylingwell Park to be part of a Chichester area cycle hire network, enabling pick up and drop off bikes at various destinations in the area. Chichester District Council and West Sussex County Council are reviewing possible alternatives in this respect, as recent technology now enables hiring of bikes to be undertaken via mobile phone/text.
For Phase 1 of the development we are giving each residence a voucher for £50 as a contribution towards a new bicycle, to encourage use of cycling. The Travel Plan Steering Group will assess the demand for on-site bicycle hire at its first meeting, depending upon initial feedback from residents who have already moved in.
