Chichester Community Development Trust has been initiated by the development partners (Affinity Sutton and Linden Homes) at Graylingwell Park to establish a charitable community trust which responds to local needs and priorities.
In the first instance the Trust will:
The Trust has appointed a part-time Community Development officer who will get to know the new residents and work with anyone interested to put on welcome events and activities.

Job Title: Chair
As Group Commercial Director for Affinity Sutton, Mark has responsibility for the commercial side of Affinity Sutton's business. Mark leads on identifying opportunities for the Group to broaden and expand its offer into new markets as well as mergers and acquisitions. He has management responsibilities for existing commercial operations - Grange residential property management, building services provider CBS and Affinity’s student and key worker property portfolios along with marketing and business strategy and service improvement. In addition Mark oversees the Group's approach to corporate social responsibility - focusing on initiatives that change lives and communities through tackling worklessness and promoting financial inclusion as well as the environmental sustainability agenda. Most recently he has established the Affinity Sutton Community Foundation which will secure our community investment activities into the future and leveraged in some £2 million of external funding.

Job Title: Secretary
Kevin is the Land Director for Linden Homes South-East and has responsibility for the development of large regeneration projects and joint ventures assembled with partners. A qualified chartered surveyor, Kevin brings 18 years of residential land acquisition and planning to the Trust. Kevin led the purchase of the Graylingwell hospital site from the Homes and Communities Agency and subsequently managed the project team to secure planning permission for the largest carbon neutral development in the UK. Outside of work, Kevin lives in Fittleworth and enjoys mountain sports and adventure racing.

Peter is responsible for delivery of all aspects of the Graylingwell Project in his capacity as the Project Director for Linden Homes South-East. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and has specialised for many years in directing major complex regeneration projects, and brings a wealth of experience to the project. Peter is married with three children and lives in Guildford. His hobbies are cars and sailing which give Chichester a particular attraction for him!

Phil has worked in the social housing sector for 18 years and is currently Director of Regeneration & Communities for Affinity Sutton. He is responsible for Community Investment programmes across the country including initiatives to help people into work and training, tackle debt and poverty, and build communities. Phil has degrees from Bristol University and the London School of Economics, and is married with two children.

Pam moved to Chichester in 2000 after a teaching career in London and the north. In Chichester, she has been a local school governor, and works as a volunteer in the Cathedral's Education Department and as a Cathedral guide. Pam has a long interest in politics, current events and community affairs and is an active member of the Chichester Society. Elected in May 2007 to Chichester District Council, Pam has served on the Licensing and Enforcement Committee and is now on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and the Area Development Control Committee (South). She is the Special Adviser on Older People to the Portfolio Holder for Health, and represents the Council at meetings of the new Information Centre at New Park, which aims to be a wide source of information including subjects relevant to health and older people. Pam also serves on Chichester City Council where she is on the Community Affairs Committee and also the representative on the Information Shop for Young People and the Oxmarket Centre of Arts. For 2009-2010 she is the Bailiff of the City.

Tim has lived in Chichester since 1974 and worked in the aerospace industry and the academic world before retiring. Tim is a member and a trustee of Immanuel Church (now based in Graylingwell Chapel), as well as being a licensed Reader in the Diocese of Chichester. The church has been involved in community activities in the north of Chichester for some years and Tim is looking forward to seeing the church contribute to the life of Graylingwell Park as residents move in. He is also involved in the development of two schools and an orphanage in the Kibera slum in Nairobi. Tim and his wife Sally enjoy walking in the South Downs, as well as in the mountains of Britain and further afield.

Job Title: Community Development Officer
Jane is the newly appointed part-time Community Development worker for Graylingwell Park. She was born in Chichester, and has lived in the area for over 50 years, so really does have the City in her blood, and is very proud of her home town.
Jane is married with one daughter (22), and a gorgeous Black Labrador. One of her interests is Nordic Walking, and hopes to be able to introduce this activity locally, so that it can be enjoyed in and around Graylingwell Park.
Jane is looking forward to welcoming new residents and working together with them to make a happy and sustainable community.
